At Jesus and Mary College we believe that the parents play as important a role as the teachers in moulding and building the future of the students who are turning into young adults. Recognising that parents are also stakeholders in the institute, Jesus and Mary College is one of the few colleges in the University of Delhi to have a PTSA - Parents Teachers Students association. It was established in 1968 and comprises representatives from the component group, as well as council members and conveners of societies. The Management Committee of the PTSA consists of parents' representatives from each department, the Teacher in Charge, PTSA Faculty members and the Principal. It meets twice a year to see how parents can contribute with their expertise in the college.
Each year, an annual general body meeting of PTSA is convened to facilitate an interaction between parents and faculty. The GBM is organised to apprise the parents and students about key activities undertaken by the college. Also, the parents witness the oath taking ceremony of incoming student office bearers of different societies and committees. The meet is concluded by the prestigious prize distribution ceremony that is held to award students for their exceptional curricular and extra-curricular achievements.
The PTSA Meet of the academic year 2023-24 was held on 9th March 2024 in the Thevenet Hall. The event had the esteemed presence of Dr Pankaj Mittal as our honourable Chief Guest and Dr Rajesh Tandon as our Guest of Honour for the event.
